Leonard Insurance was founded in 1963 by Melvin Leonard with a simple mission: provide exceptional service and trusted insurance guidance to the people of southeastern Wisconsin. For more than 60 years, that commitment to personalized service and strong community relationships has remained at the heart of the agency.
In 1985, Melvin’s son, Mark Leonard, and Mark’s wife, Lynn, took over the agency and continued building on the foundation his father established. Under Mark’s leadership, Leonard Insurance remained dedicated to serving clients with integrity, personal attention, and a strong commitment to the local community.
What truly set Leonard Insurance apart over the years was its personal approach to customer service. Clients could always count on speaking with a knowledgeable team member who understood their needs and was there to help — whether answering questions, reviewing coverage, or assisting with a claim.
In December 2024, Leonard Insurance became part of Midwest Insurance Group, marking an exciting new chapter in the agency’s long-standing history.
